The day of Quds is an annual event held on the last Friday of the Holy month of Ramadhan. On this day, people all over the world gather in their respected cities to raise their voices against oppression and stand in solidarity with Palestinian people. Although this day is significant for Palestine it also stands for the oppressed people all around the world. Wether the protest is for oppression in Burma, Bahrain, Pakistan, or Iraq. The day of Quds is for us to raise our voices for the oppressed people who dont have the opportunity to be heard The peaceful protest paricipants consist of not only Muslims, but Christians, Jews, and people of other faiths alike. This year, the Houston protest was held at the Galleria on the intersection of Post Oak Blvd and Westheimer. For more information, be sure to visit http://freealquds.org/.
