Tioga Pass is a mountain pass in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. Not only is it the highest highway pass in Sierra Nevada mountain range, it is also home to many lakes, trails and scenic overlooks which lead to the eastern entry point of Yosemite National Park.
Even in summer, traces of snow can be found through out the mountain range.
The road is long and full of steep slopes and sharp turns.
The lake is a major highlight of the drive. It attracts many people and has two ends which are both at 9538 ft above sea level.
The road ends at Yosemite National Park.
